The other day when Pistachio was sleeping, Peanut and I were sitting at my desk, cutting and drawing and such and she said, "Hey, guess what mommy?"
A pregnant pause..."I like you."
breakin' my heart, "I like you too, sweets."
When I was a little baby...(thinking pause)When i was a little flower..."
"You picked me." my heart swells
"Yes we did. Did your daddy tell you that?"
Where does she get this stuff?
Last night my hubby brought home a domesticated bunny that he found in the "wild".
The "wild" being under a car in the parking lot of the mall my hubby manages a store.
Of course Peanut is enamored with it.
All of that to say, this morning before hubby went to work we had to rush to the pet store to pick up essentials like food and a few toys.
A salt lick.
There's the rub.
So, I put the salt lick together and then turned to the cage, and in that short amount of time Peanut said, "What's this?"
"A salt lick."
"Eww, it tastes yucky."
Sigh* "That's because it's for Bumper, not you."
Daddy told her she was a ding dong.
Side note, we plan on taking Bumper to the vet tomorrow to see if it's boy or a girl and whether it's been "fixed", and to find out what breed of rabbit it is and age-ish.
Thankfully, at the pet store the girl that checked out our purchases, Krista Beth, has rabbits as pets, so you bet I'm going to be calling up there all the time until I feel very confident this newest addition to our family is well taken care of.
"Because he needs me."
The joys of pet ownership.
Anyone out there have pet bunnies? Let me know, I'd love to hear more about them.
